Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Material Cutter to join a busy manufacturing team in Redruth.

This role involves preparing paper patterns to exact specifications and accurately cutting fabric in readiness for machinists to complete the final product. It is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in precision and quality.

Key Duties

• Alter paper patterns to specification.

• Hand cut fabric pattern pieces accurately.

• Mark fastenings and pin reinforcements as required.

• Generate garment labels.

• Check the work of other cutters for quality assurance on a rotational basis.

• Log completed work using dedicated manufacturing software.

Requirements

• Previous experience desirable but not essential.

• Thorough and precise approach to work.

• High attention to detail.

• Good manual dexterity and ability to work well with your hands.

• Numerically competent and computer literate.

• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

• Commitment to delivering a high level of quality.

• Able to ensure accurate and timely output.

• Comfortable working effectively within a small team environment.
