Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with a catering specialist located on-site in Port Talbot, who is currently seeking an experienced Chef to join their team.

This is a Monday to Friday daytime role, offering consistent hours and a strong work-life balance within a professional catering environment.

Key Duties

• Prepare and cook food in line with approved recipes.

• Deliver high-quality breakfast and lunch service.

• Operate kitchen equipment including griddle, fryer, rational oven, and range cooker.

• Follow HACCP guidelines and procedures as outlined in the manual.

• Maintain a clear understanding of food allergens and confidently communicate this information to customers.

• Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in breakfast and lunch service essential.

• Level 2 Food Handling Certificate minimum (Level 3 desirable).

• Strong understanding of HACCP and food allergen regulations.

• Good timekeeping and reliability.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Presentable with high standards of personal hygiene.

• Fluent English (spoken, written, and reading).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
