Kitchen Unit Assembly & Production Operative

Exeter (Marsh Barton) | £12.21-£13.00 per hour DOE | Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm | Temp to Perm

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a full-time Kitchen Unit Assembly and Production Operative to join a busy, family-owned manufacturing business based in Marsh Barton, Exeter.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity based on performance, offering long-term prospects within a fast-paced and supportive production environment.

You will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality bespoke kitchen and bedroom cabinets and units.

Key Duties

• Assemble kitchen carcasses and components, including doors, drawers, and cabinets.

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery (such as drills, saws, and pneumatic tools).

• Ensure all products meet quality standards, including flush joints and correctly installed hardware.

• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.

• Move materials and carry out heavy lifting, including placing completed units onto pallets.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or carpentry desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

• Good DIY skills and confidence using hand tools.

• Physically fit and able to undertake repetitive tasks and heavy lifting.

• High attention to detail and strong teamwork skills.

• Reliable, flexible, and motivated approach.
