QC Technician

Cardiff (CF14) | £15.23 - £17.42 per hour | Rotating shifts | Monday to Friday | Temporary (approx. 6 weeks)

• Mornings / afternoons shift pattern - one week Mon to Fri, 6am - 2pm, the following week 2pm - 10pm
• The hourly rate of pay will be £15.23 plus a 14.4% shift allowance.
• The shift pattern will follow the morning (05:50- 14:00) and afternoon (13:50- 22:00) weekly rotation patterns, with Friday hours being 05:50- 13:00 and 12:50- 20:00.

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a QC Technician on behalf of a market leader in the life sciences industry. This is a temporary role for approximately 6 weeks, with potential for extension in the right circumstances for the right candidate.

Key Duties:

• Performing in-process testing and inspections of medical devices to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

• Operating testing equipment in line with work instructions, hourly targets and safety requirements.

• Documenting and reporting test results accurately, including prompt reporting of non-conformances.

• Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area to support a safe and efficient working environment.

• Monitoring stock levels and managing inventory to ensure uninterrupted testing operations.

Requirements:

• Strong Quality Control background within a manufacturing environment.

• Basic knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.

• Experience applying statistical sampling levels in line with ISO 2859.

• Strong attention to detail with a results-orientated approach.

• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry and/or a cleanroom environment is desirable.

• Ability to work rotating morning and afternoon shifts.

• Flexibility to work day shift (8am - 4pm) if required, paid at basic rate with no shift allowance.
