Plant Fitter - Mobile & Fixed

Narberth, Pembrokeshire | Pay negotiable (DOE) | Permanent | 47.5 hours per week + overtime | Monday-Friday


Introduction

We are recruiting an experienced Plant Fitter to join our client's on-site Maintenance Team based in Narberth, Pembrokeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fitter to work with a wide range of mobile and fixed plant, offering strong earning potential for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for maintaining plant reliability, carrying out planned maintenance, and responding efficiently to breakdowns to support day-to-day site operations.


Key Duties
  • Repairing and servicing mobile plant including dumpers, excavators, loaders, rollers, and pavers.

  • Maintaining fixed plant such as asphalt, concrete, and crushing plant.

  • Carrying out planned servicing, inspections, and fault-finding.

  • Completing maintenance records and defect reports accurately.

  • Supporting site operations while maintaining high housekeeping and health & safety standards.


Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Plant Fitting (or equivalent experience).

  • Ideally 3+ years' experience working with heavy plant.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Own basic hand tools (specialist tools provided).

  • Experience operating heavy plant (tickets desirable).

  • Flexible, team-focused approach.

  • Experience within an asphalt plant preferred, though candidates from concrete, cement, mortar, aggregates, or quarrying environments will be considered.

  • Strong understanding of plant equipment maintenance and repair.
