Maintenance Technician

Cardiff (CF14) | £22.29 per hour | Monday-Friday | Rotating Shifts | Temporary

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is working with a market-leading life sciences organisation seeking 1-2 Maintenance Technicians on a temporary basis. This role is initially for approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of permanent positions for the right candidates.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance activities on all production equipment.

• React to unplanned equipment breakdowns, process changeovers, health and safety actions, and machine setup.

• Support installation qualifications, risk assessments, PUWERs, and LOTO procedures.

• Work closely with process engineering to monitor equipment performance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent formal qualification (NVQ Level 3 / HNC / BTEC) in electrical maintenance manufacturing, with PLC experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).

• Ability to work effectively under time-bound pressure, both independently and as part of a team.

• Highly motivated with a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery.

• Ideally experienced in mechanical maintenance, including work with refrigeration systems.

Working Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday.

• Rotating shifts: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

• Pay rate: £22.29 per hour.
