You'll lead by example, motivating your team, promoting safe working practices, and driving performance to achieve shared goals.

Key Duties:

* Oversee all stock management processes, including PI count cycles, replenishment, ghost stock, and quarantine compliance to maintain accurate inventory and meet company standards.
* Monitor and analyse stock performance, including date-sensitive items, stock loss, and HUB credits; escalate issues and implement improvements to reduce waste and optimise availability.
* Lead and develop the stock control team, setting clear objectives, managing performance, and fostering an engaging, safe, and inclusive work environment aligned with company values and KPIs.
* Ensure excellent customer service by investigating quality issues, managing customer credits, and collaborating across departments to resolve queries and maintain high satisfaction levels.
* Promote safety, compliance, and continuous improvement - maintaining QHSE standards, ensuring accurate system updates, and driving process enhancements through teamwork and innovation.

Requirements:

* Proven experience managing large volumes of date-sensitive stock within a fast-paced warehousing or foodservice distribution environment.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage change, and influence stakeholders across departments.
* Highly organised and adaptable, able to prioritise conflicting deadlines and plan workloads effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Analytical and innovative mindset, demonstrating sound judgement, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.
* Confident IT user with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with data and reporting systems.

What We Offer:

* Competitive salary up to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience).
* 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays.

* Excellent career progression opportunities within a respected national business.
* Staff discounts and a comprehensive benefits package.
* Supportive management and a collaborative team culture.
