Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Cardiff for an experienced Loading Shovel Operator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and established industrial business offering long-term work, competitive pay, and great benefits.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Wheeled Loading Shovel, supporting site production and recovery processes. Experience within furnace recovery and hot metal operations will be highly advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel in line with site safety standards.

• Supporting furnace recovery and hot metal handling operations.

• Maintaining equipment and carrying out basic safety checks.

• Working collaboratively as part of a site operations team.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence.

• CPCS or NPORS licence for Loading Shovel operation.

• Experience within an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.

• Flexibility to work either Monday-Friday (10-hour shifts) or a 4-on-4-off rotation (12-hour shifts).
