HS&E Advisor

Henstridge | Up to £45,000 DOE | 2pm - 11pm | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Permanent


Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client in Henstridge for an experienced HS&E Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident professional to play a key role in driving a positive and productive workplace culture.


Key Duties:

Employee Relations

  • Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, management systems and company procedures.
  • Working with a team of people dedicated to HS&E
  • Monitoring and reviewing both written and operational works to ensure their effectiveness, compliance, and following consultation will implement new protective and preventative measures when required by law or by the Company in achieving best practice
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to health and safety across all sites and satellite offices. This may require visiting all premises when required
  • Assisting the HS&E Manager/department to ensure that the Company remains up to date with all legislative requirements, updating relevant policies and procedures when necessary and maintaining Company compliance
  • Carrying out HS&E audits as per our ISO 45001 procedures, raising the necessary reports to a suitable level and assist with the implementation of changes when required
  • Assisting with the preparation and be in attendance for ISO 45001 and 14001 external audits as when required
  • Being proactive in suggesting HS&E initiatives to improve health, safety and well-being on site with a view to reducing accident and incident rates

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HS&E Advisor or in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Protecting employees in the work place, using expert
    knowledge and experience to control risks at work and ensure the company meets current HS&E standards
  • Being involved in the planning, production and implementation of new policies,
    procedures and strategies and safe systems of work to raise or maintain health and safety standards.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.

What We Offer:

  • Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.
