£16.90 per hour

About the Role

We're seeking a dedicated and professional Telecare Officer to join a team in Honiton. You'll play a key role in supporting vulnerable individuals by installing and maintaining life-enhancing telecare and alarm equipment in their homes.

Main Responsibilities

• Install alarm and telecare equipment for private service users.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site where possible.
• Carry out pre-arranged visits to check and update customer data.
• Conduct preventative maintenance visits.
• Actively promote and market the telecare service.
• Keep up to date with the latest telecare systems and best practices.

Skills & Experience Required

• Confident in demonstrating and explaining telecare equipment to a wide range of customers.
• Competent in using hand tools, including battery-powered drills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially under tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Effective time management and flexibility.
• A caring, compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
• Comfortable working at heights when required.
• Experience working with the general public and vulnerable adults.
