HR Advisor

Henstridge | Up to £45,000 DOE | 2pm - 11pm | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client in Henstridge for an experienced HR Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident HR professional to take ownership of the HR function and play a key role in driving a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Duties:

Employee Relations

• Build strong employee relationships and foster a positive working environment.
• Mediate conflicts and resolve grievances fairly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
• Support the contractor evaluation process, including on-site management of contractors in line with legislative requirements, ISO 45001 and best practice.
• Carry out site inspections to ensure compliance with legislation, management systems and company procedures.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

• Write clear and inclusive job descriptions.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing through to onboarding.
• Align hiring with long-term workforce planning.

Performance and Development

• Design and implement appraisal systems.
• Support managers in delivering constructive feedback.
• Identify skills gaps and create development plans.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Policy and Compliance

• Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with legal and ethical standards.
• Ensure best practices are applied consistently across HR functions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Skilled in managing employee relations and recruitment processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
