Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for Howmet Aerospace in Exeter, a global leader in aerospace manufacturing. We have full-time Operative roles available in both the Wax and Core Departments, working on a rotating shift pattern. Please note: all candidates must pass a medical assessment as part of the recruitment process.

Key Duties:

Wax Operative:

• Create and perfect wax moulds using tools, knives, and Bunsen burners.
• Carry out detailed, hands-on work (experience with sewing, crafting, model-making, or electronics is a bonus).

Core Department Operative:

• Assist in the production of cores used in casting aerospace components.
• Operate machinery and follow precise production processes (mechanical or manufacturing background helpful but not essential).

Wax Injection Operator:

• Operate wax injection equipment, change die patterns, and perform basic quality checks.

Requirements:

• Ability to work a rotating shift pattern.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable with hands-on, practical work.
• Pass a pre-employment medical assessment.

Shift Details:

• Morning Shift: 6am-2pm.
• Afternoon Shift: 2pm-10pm.
