Warehouse Operative

Knowsley | £13.42 per hour rising to £14.12 with shift rate | Monday - Friday, rotating shifts (7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm) | Temporary to Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our client, a food manufacturing company based in Knowsley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team, with a genuine chance of a permanent contract and career progression.

Key Duties

• Load and unload deliveries onsite.
• Move stock to the correct locations in the warehouse.
• Break down packaging for recycling.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including handling hazardous materials.
• Maintain hygiene standards and follow all PPE, personal hygiene, and health and safety rules.
• Carefully weigh ingredients used in production.
• Handle and store raw materials and finished products correctly.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
• Escalate any quality or health and safety issues to the supervisor.
• Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist with stock takes of raw materials.
• Accurately complete required documentation and update computer systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• RTITB or ITSSAR accredited FLT counterbalance licence, refreshed within the last 3 years.
• Keen to learn with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Health and safety aware with good manual handling skills.
• Flexible with working hours.
• Experience working on a BRC-accredited site and knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP regulations is advantageous but not essential.
• Willing to attend a paid trial shift before starting.
