Kitchen Assistant

Magor | £12.21 per hour | Monday - Friday | 8am - 2:30pm |

Acorn by Synergie are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant for the Magor area. Candidates must have previous catering/kitchen experience and have completed Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning utensils, food preparation equipment, other tools, and kitchen floors.
• Prepping ingredients for dishes.
• Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients.
• Cooking ingredients according to directions received from chef.
• Assisting in cooking of meals.
• Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
• Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom.
• Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock.
• Observing cooking times and correct temperatures.
• Ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Able to understand and communicate in English at a working level (spoken and written).
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment.
• Flexible and willing to support other roles or duties as needed.
