The Welsh Judo Association (WJA) is the National Governing Body for judo in Wales. Our aim is to create better people for a better society.
We currently have vacancies for two new INEDs and would welcome applications from those who have experience and skillsets in the following areas:

The Welsh Judo Association (WJA) is a Private Company, Limited by guarantee and its purpose is to act as the National Governing Body for the sport of judo in Wales. In doing so, it seeks to:

<li>Promote Judo throughout Wales.</li>
<li>Provide to the Members, services, advice and assistance in connection with Judo.</li>
<li>Provide and promote Judo related education, training and other services to Members, organisations, and the public in Wales.</li>
<li>Do all other things that are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.</li>
</ol>

Commitment:

This is accepted to be on an 'as available' basis and is therefore not specified as a specific number of events/days. WJA Commissions and Committees - Board Directors may have an involvement in these and could be responsible for developing and coordinating specific areas of the association's business. It is not however, mandated that a Director should Chair these.

Street Football Wales is looking for new trustees to join its board. Our trustees work to support the organisation to realise its vision of a fair and inclusive Wales, where everyone can achieve their full potential through the transformative power of football.
We do this through the creation of safe and welcoming spaces where everyone can experience the joy of football. We believe in the power of the game to bring fun and fulfilment to all, regardless of background or ability. Through football, we promote personal growth and the development of healthy inclusive communities where every individual matters and is valued.
Trustees set the strategic direction, oversee the work of the organisation, manage risk, and establish policies and procedures to govern organisational activity. Key to the role is ensuring good governance practice is in place. It's an exciting time to join the board, as Street Football Wales has consolidated its growth since becoming a charity, and is exploring further opportunities for development with the creation of a new three year strategy.
About you

 Expectations

Wales Lacrosse provides opportunities for players, coaches and officials to engage with the sport at international level, as well as building links within the lacrosse community in Wales. Role purposeThe Chair of Wales Lacrosse will lead oversight of the governance, financial management and overall administration of the organisation. They will chair the Executive Committee, and work closely with the CEO and all members of the Committee to ensure that Wales Lacrosse works effectively to deliver its objectives and grow the game of lacrosse in Wales. The Chair will work to implement and review the strategic plan, and lead board members, staff and membership to continue to cultivate and develop the sport. The Chair will set the tone and future ambitions for the organisation, particularly with the increased profile of the sport in the build up to the Olympics in 2028 [note: BOA engagement is led by British Lacrosse]. The Chair will manage relations with key stakeholders including members, clubs, schools, universities, Sport Wales, our colleagues in the home nations, British Lacrosse, European Lacrosse Federation and World Lacrosse.
